Jim Miller, Roy Nunn, Alex Ellis, and Jay Peroni, CFP® have over 70 years of combined experience. These highly trained and experienced men can lead and counsel you through their unique personalized financial planning process. They work hard to help clients like you achieve financial success through proper planning with a values-based emphasis.
Jay Peroni, CFP®, President and CEO. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Jay holds a master’s degree in Financial Planning and has fifteen years’ experience working with investment clientele. He is considered an expert and authority on values-based and faith-based investing. Not only has Jay learned that he doesn’t have to have the same faith as his client to help them invest according to their value system, he has found that many people of differing beliefs have very similar values. This trickles down into how we all manage and use our money. Jay shares his financial wisdom and principles with others to show how beliefs can unlock wealth . . . or cause poverty . . . in a person’s life.

Jay and his wife, Karen, are the proud parents of four young children. They enjoy serving in their church and pursuing an active personal life.
Roy E. Nunn, Roy E. Nunn, Vice President, has twenty-six years experience in the financial services industry. Roy has served as an Investment Advisor Rep at American Values Investments for six years. Prior to AVI, he served as a Regional Vice President / Registered Investment Representative with a major financial services firm for 19 years. Prior to his career in the financial services industry he worked in education. He spent eight years teaching and as a school administrator/principal. He holds a BA and MRE degrees. Roy currently provides service and advice to over 200 families. He and his wife, Sharon, are the proud parents of three children and stay busy with many church activities.
James H. Miller, Senior Vice President, has twenty-seven years’ experience in the investment industry. He previously worked as a financial advisor at American Values Investments. Prior to that he served as Vice President of two large brokerage firms. He has also been life and health insurance licensed since 1982. He holds BA, MDiv, and MRE degrees. His life has been one of service including serving as U.S. Treasurer of the Diospi Suyana Mission Hospital in Peru; leading mission teams to Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Alaska; and helping with financial guidance and budget planning for families. He has been trained by Crown Ministries and trained by Kingdom Advisors. He also served for eleven years in teaching and administrative positions and served as a pastor for a large part of his life.
Dave Ramsey, nationally syndicated radio host and star of Fox Business Channel’s Dave Ramsey Show endorses select local providers for investments around the country. James has served as one of the Endorsed Local Providers (ELP) for investments for Dave Ramsey’s organization since 2002, helping Dave’s viewers and listeners learn valuable lessons about investments. James has been married to his wife, Mary, for more than forty years and is the proud father of three daughters and grandparent of five grandchildren.
Alex Ellis, Vice President and Treasurer, serves clients’ needs through investments and financial planning. He is registered with the SEC and holds a B.A. degree. Alex’s core passion is values-based investing. Prior to helping found VFA, he worked as a financial advisor with American Values Investments where he and his partner served more than 280 families. He previously served as a youth minister. He and his wife, Terri, are blessed with two sons and one daughter, and they are all active in their church.
